The tie down system is not optimal. We have almost lost the covers on our units and have gone through multiple tie downs for the cover. It has also clogged up twice this season.

We own 3 of the new VBX+ spreaders. 2 were purchased in 2024, 1 was purchased in 2025. All 3 have needed the main control module replaced. All 3 have needed the center cross member support resecured to the plastic body due to inadequate fasteners being used. All 3 have needed the deflector plate by the spinner made wider so the salter does not throw salt completely under the truck. All 3 have required adjustments to the chute to fix the spread pattern straight from the factory. 1 has needed the entire in cab controller replaced because the plug and wire that plug into the controller were poorly designed and the connector broke. These are all items that have needed to be fixed within the first year of ownership. There are serious quality and design issues here that need to be addressed. Our dealer support has been great. That is the only reason we still have these salters.
